Norovirus is currently at a 12-month high, leaving many parents juggling cleaning vomit off the floor, changing out sheets, and constant loads of laundry. One mom on TikTok has found a genius solution to making it through the night: a puke bed.

The puke bed is a toddler inflatable mattress, which the mom claims is “worth its weight in gold.” Not only can it be set up at the entrance to the bathroom, or next to your bed, but it’s also plastic and can be sprayed down with a hose in the morning.

For nighttime pukes, keep some extra pillowcases and blankets handy so you can quickly strip the bed and throw on a new sheet in the dark. One important thing to note: make sure to follow the inflatable mattress age restriction to avoid suffocation.

The TikTok mom shares some of her other top puke-management tips:

- Keep small trash cans and buckets throughout the house

- Cover your couches trash bags layered with towels

- Have a special cup for your kiddo to encourage them to stay hydrated

- Keep training potties nearby for when things start coming out the other end

The good news? The worst of the sick season should be coming to an end soon.

@lovedthishatedthat How many illnesses can my kids catch in a month? The limit does not exist. The puke bed is saving me this sick season. #sickbaby #sickkids #parentsoftiktok #sickness #parenting101 #parentingtips ♬ original sound - Lovedthishatedthat
