Chilli Heeler, mom to Bluey Heeler in the popular animated Australian series "Bluey”, is the cover star for InStyle Australia’s February “icons” issue. While Bluey is the main focus of the show, her mom has emerged as a fan favorite.

Many love Chilli for different reasons. Chill is a working mom who juggles the work-life balance after returning to work in airport security. Despite being spread thin, she is kind, playful and engaged with her kids. Whether it’s her down-to-earth personality, dry wit or realistic portrayal of motherhood, she’s a deeply relatable character. She demonstrates how to maintain her own voice as a mother by setting boundaries and sharing honestly when she needs breaks. Her subtle handling of a potential miscarriage in a recent episode further endeared her to viewers.

Although she is a made-up animated character, she’s representative of all the hardworking mothers whose continual acts of love and sacrifice often go unseen. Many are happy to see Chilli's character become a cultural icon, and are hoping to see more magazine covers featuring the beloved mother.
