Dillon Reeves is a 13-year-old boy every parent can be proud of. When his bus driver went unconscious while driving a bus full of 65 kids home from middle school, he jumped into action, calmly steered the bus off of the road, and applied the brake, potentially saving everyone’s life.

His heroic action was caught on video and has since gone viral. He is seen not only keeping his cool through the entire emergency situation but also calling out for someone to call 911.

Reeves was rewarded a certificate for “quick thinking and bravery” by the Warren Consolidated School District in Michigan. His parents told reporters that Dillon had been lap driving country roads since he was four and is also very observant of his surroundings. He is an example to us all of courage and maturity in the face of danger.
